On our final day in "Nam," we went viking (aka a buffet) on all the Vietnamese food we could stuff before we left the country. We did some cosmic bowling, ate a massive dessert at home and packed up our $9 North Fake bags to prepare our launch into Bangkok. We've gone through who knows how many miles of trekking, 6 air planes (two on Jetstar- definitely need compensation for a chiropractor bill because of their horrible seats), customs and immigration check in within four different countries, numerous hours reading maps and lastly a ton of sweat from Asia's inspiring perspiring summer. We're half way through and the days have gone by too quick, facebook is not allowed in here Vietnam and but thankfully Thailand is not so stringent.

Go back in time to Tokyo, this was adorning a noodle shop window not far from the Hamamatsucho station, no clue but we didn't eat there.

TOKYO KYOTO OSAKA bullet train

A bit behind on this blog, internet access is sparse. So far on this amazing trip-- It's currently around 10am here in Vietnam, hot and humid as any of the past cities we were at. We just left Taiwan about 3-4 days ago and already missing beautiful Kyoto. The Kyoto summer weather just doesn't do it justice, we'd gladly come back here in fall, winter and spring, maybe summer again. Tokyo was excellent, but Kyoto was that feeling we had been searching for- to be enamored, to be in awe of it's natural and man made aesthetics. East of the Kamo river is Kyoto's massive backdrop, a beautiful forest cascading along side the mountain. If you are able to reach Kyoto, the lined areas where the city merges with the natural environment is where you'll discover some amazing things, especially around the magic hours where the sun starts to set.Regretfully we did not get to see inside the Silver Peak Pagoda and most likely plan on that hopefully with a group of people next visit. It was our real last day here, so we decided to walk back from the pagoda area, down it's lively sloped road with a box of Japanese soda ice cream and took our time sight seeing what we missed when it rained a day before. Our feet were tired from walking everywhere in Kyoto and our backs still getting use to the floor beds. We finished off all the snacks from local markets and then headed to the Shinkansen. Remember that off pressure sensation you get in your ears when flying on a plane or going up a fast elevator? You get the same sensation riding the famed Japanese bullet train and every rumor about it is true, it is notoriously on time and ear popping fast. I just found a sd card to usb to transfer photos, so new photos will be bombarding your screens soon. Next- learning curves, especially when no one speaks English, you can't read a damn thing on any signs and assholes in other countries.

Second floor and just a bit north of Ginza...

Undeniably missing the previous hotel we were at yesterday, back at the run of the mill hotel to save some dollars to hopefully spend on Kobe beef. Wifi is only offered in the lobby, luckily tonight we are on the second floor which catches a few bars worth of signal. This first post is random info and updates, again due to lack of wifi access it has delayed the news from across the ocean.. We both have been utilizing to the max a ton of trains and our feet, getting in any cab here in Tokyo immediately starts at $9.25 and can easily go up to $30.00 in about 30 or so minutes within the ride. It really helps catching the occasional Japanese person that can speak decent English, the versatile word "sumimasen" is a must learn word and more than several days in we just learned how to read their address system (and nearly 90% the address house number is never visible or in English). Good night and good morning to our friends on the other side of the globe.

Check out this scooter's sexy snake skin seat and high speed cup holder.
